Pergola15 hosts Silvia Tornitore’s ‘She is art’ exhibition

On Saturday 8 October, at the elegant Location Pergola15 in the heart of the Isola district in Milan, the personal exhibition ‘LEI E’ ARTE (BETWEEN SOUL AND FUTURE)’, by painter Silvia Tornitore, will be held from 2 to 10 p.m.

If astrology gives us indications of the quality of time moment by moment, let us try to analyse what natural predispositions are imprinted in Silvia’s chart, what the quality of her time is, unique and unrepeatable, what forces are at play that lead her to seek an artistic path.

The basic structure of her personality, the combination of sign (Taurus) and ascendant (Cancer), brings to the fore the planet Venus (which has its nocturnal domicile in Taurus and exaltation in Cancer), which on the one hand represents the capacity to love and the intensity of feelings and, on the other, the sensitive relationship with things, the taste for beauty, the desire for harmony and pleasantness. It is therefore central, in Silvia’s chart, to define the characteristic traits of Venus, deriving from its specific position: it is found in the sign of Gemini in the twelfth house, opposed to Pluto and the millimetric trigon with Uranus in Aquarius. The Gemini qualities, introducing the significant contribution of Mercury, tend to intellectualise the artistic vein, making it lucid, reasoning and critical, and can, through the contribution given by the exaltation of Pluto, give it veins that tend towards the narcissistic and exhibitionistic. Not to be overlooked is the fact that Venus is placed in the twelfth house, the house of the sublime, of vast horizons and….. of solitude, with all the implications of the case. But what is most striking, in my opinion, is the trigon aspect that links the planet of beauty to Uranus, a force that constitutes a sort of link between ‘human-scale’ time, cadenced by the swift or semi-fast planets, and the very long times marked out by Neptune and Pluto.
Uranus is a dynamic planet, linked to willpower, to centring on the present moment, to the aptitude to seize opportunities on the fly. Moreover, Uranus, and this is what is most relevant in our case, is the planet of technique in all its countless facets, even in its most elementary form of the ability to use elements present in nature to make useful tools for man. For anthropologists, in fact, the ability to use one’s own hands determines a revolutionary evolutionary turning point in human history. The link between the two planets – beauty and its technical translation – has to do with manual dexterity which, if the relationship, as in this case, is trigonal, is expressed at its highest level, with a happily balanced and ductile dynamism that predisposes to success. As well as illuminating personal charm.

And again, one cannot overlook in Silvia’s drawing, a triple earth trigon involving the Sun, Moon and Neptune. But I leave the matter in abeyance, limiting myself to wishing Silvia the best use of her many strengths.
